Cauliflower pepper fry is a simple and flavorful stir fry recipe which is prepared using cauliflower and black pepper powder. This dish can be prepared using simple ingredients and it is a great accompaniment with sambar, rasam, curd rice or even with roti.

Serves – 4
Ingredients:
Cauliflower florets – 1 cup
Onion – 1 medium sized finely chopped
Green chilies – 2 slit lenghtwise
Curry leaves – few
Salt – as required
Black pepper powder – 1 tsp or as required
Asafoetida/hing – 1/8 tsp
Dry red chilies – 3
Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp
Oil – 3 tsp
Method:
1. Wash the cauliflower florets well. Bring a pot of water to a boil and add in the cauliflower florets. Allow it to cook for 5 to 10 min and then switch off the stove. Drain the water and set aside the cauliflower. The cooked cauliflower has to be crisp.
2. Heat 3 tsp of oil in a pan. Add in mustard seeds and when it splutters add in onion, green chilies, curry leaves and red chilies. Add required salt and saute well till onions turn translucent.
3. Now add in the cooked cauliflower and mix. Add in black pepper powder and asafoetida/hing and mix. Saute for 5 min and switch off the stove.
