Pineapple Banana Kesari

Pineapple and Banana both together make this dessert tasty and delicious. It is a quick and easy sweet preparation. This awesome kesari can be made using only pineapple too. This is usually made during festivals. This fruit kesari is delicious and easy to make, if you have any unexpected guests.

Preparation time – 10 minutes
Cooking time – 20 minutes
Serves – 6

Ingredients:

Rava or sooji or semolina – 1 cup
Banana – 1/2 smashed
Pineapple – 3 tbsp chunks
Sugar – 1 1/2 cups
Ghee (refined butter) or unsalted butter  – 1/4 cup
Water – 3 cups
Cashews /almonds – 10 chopped into pieces
Raisins – 10
Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp
Orange color – a pinch

Method:

1. Heat a little ghee in a pan. Fry the cashew nuts and raisins and keep it aside.
2. In medium heat roast the rava (semolina) for a few minutes using a tbsp of ghee until the nice aroma comes.
   

3. Now add the smashed banana & pineapple chunks. Add the remaining ghee and fry for a minute. Meanwhile boil 3 cups of water by adding a pinch of orange color. Now add the boiling water into the rava and keep the flame on a medium heat and keep stirring. Make sure that no lumps are formed.

   

4. After all the water evaporates, add sugar, stir well to avoid forming the lumps and cook on low flame until the kesari starts to leave the sides of the pan. Add cardamom powder, cashew nuts/almonds , raisins and serve.
