Mutter Paneer is an all time favorite North Indian vegetarian gravy dish which goes well with Naan, Roti or Pulav.

Ingredients
Paneer – 1 cup
Mutter -1 cup
Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
Red Chili Powder -1 tsp
Coriander Powder -1 tsp
Garam masala- 1 tsp
Cumin -1 tsp
Salt to taste
Cooking Oil – 3 tbsp
Chopped Coriander Leaves – 2 tsp
To grind
Onion – 1 medium size
Tomato – 3 medium size
Ginger- 1/2 inch
Garlic- 4 cloves
Cashew Nuts – 10
Method
1. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan. Fry cashew, onions, tomatoes, ginger-garlic. Fry until tomatoes get soft. Let the mixture cool down. Once the mixture cools down put in the blender and make it into a smooth paste.
2. Heat another 2 tbsp of oil in a pan. Add the cumin seeds and saute for a minute.


3. When the cumin seeds are well cooked add in the grounded mixture and saute for a minute. Now add in the red chili powder,coriander powder, turmeric powder and garam masala. Fry the mixture on a medium flame for 5 minutes until the oil separates from the mixture.
4. Add in the peas and the Paneer cubes and mix well with the masala.
5. Add 3 cups of water and salt as per your taste.
6. Cover the pan and let it cook on a medium flame for 15 minute until the peas gets cooked and the gravy gets thicker.

7. Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.
8. It goes well with roti, Naan or Pulav. To get rich and restaurant style gravy add 3 tablespoons of cream at the end.
