Ground chicken veggies curry

This delicious curry is easy to make with simple ingredients. This is a two in one recipe, Chicken as well as veggies. Chicken is the favorite dish for most kids. It is a perfect chicken curry along with veggies. Two in One!

Preparation time – 10 minutes
Cooking time – 30 minutes
Serves – 4

Ingredients:

Ground chicken – 1 lb
Onion – 1 medium size chopped into small pieces
Tomato – 1 medium size chopped into small pieces
Ginger & garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Cauliflower florets – 1 1/2 cup
Potato – 2 medium size chopped into cubes
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Oil – 3 tbs
Chopped Coriander leaves –  2 tbsp

For curry powder:

Coriander seeds or Coriander powder  – 3 tsp
Cumin seeds or  Cumin powder  – 1/2 tsp
Chili powder –  2 tsp or as per your taste

Grind all the above ingredients and powder it. Keep aside.

Method:

1. Heat oil in a pan. Add the chopped onions and stir till it gets slightly browned. Now add the ginger & garlic paste and fry till the raw smell goes. Then add chopped tomatoes into the pan and cook until the tomatoes gets smashed.

   

2. After the tomatoes are well cooked, add the ground curry powder and turmeric powder. Stir the mixture continuously for few minutes on a medium heat. Then add ground chicken and stir until the chicken is well cooked. Add the potato cubes and stir for few minutes by adding salt. Now add the Cauliflower florets and mix until the masala gets well blended with the veggies. If you want you can add 1/2 cup of green peas too.

      

3. Now add garam masala and mix it. Add 1 1/2 of cups of water to the mixture and stir. Let it boil until the potato is cooked. Adjust the salt according to your taste. Once the potato is well cooked turn off the stove. If the gravy is not thicker keep the flame on high till the gravy gets thicker. When the flame is high,keep stirring until the gravy  gets thicker. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

   

Serve hot with Roti, Poori, Rice or even Idli. Enjoy!!
