Chinese Noodle Samosa

Chinese Noodle samosa is a delicious snack/appetizer which is prepared with noodles stuffing. It is a fried dish with spicy noodle and cheese stuffing inside. It is crispy on outside and spicy inside which make this dish very flavorful. It is a perfect tea time snack. Both adults and kids will cherish this snack/appetizer.

Preparation time – 20 min
Cooking time – 25 min
Makes – 12

Ingredients required for the crust:

Maida/All purpose flour – 1 cup
Oil – 4 tbsp
Salt – as required
Water – as required

Ingredients required for the filling:

Maggi noodles – 1 packet, cooked
Onion – 3 tbsp
Ginger – 1 tsp finely minced
Garlic – 3 cloves finely minced
Green peas – 3 tbsp
Soy sauce – 1/2 tsp
Tomato ketchup – 1/2 tsp
Green chili – 1 finely minced
Black pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt – as required
Laughing cow cheese/or any other cheese – 4 cubes
Oil – 2 tsp
Oil – required for deep frying

Method:

1. In a bowl mix in maida and salt. Add in 4 tbsp of oil and mix well till the oil is well incorporated in the flour. Mix the flour well till it forms nice crumbs. Add water little by little and mix well till it forms into a stiff dough. Knead well and set aside for 30 min.

2. Drop the noodles in the boiling water and cook it till they are half done. The noodles should not be fully cooked.

3. In a pan add 2 tsp of oil and let it heat up. Saute onions, ginger, garlic.. Add in green peas and cook for a minute.

4. Now add in the cooked noodles along with black pepper powder and salt. Mix well. Add in soy sauce and tomato ketchup and saute well.

5. Add in the cheese and mix well. Cook it on a medium flame for 2 minutes. Set aside the noodle mixture.

6. Knead the dough once again. Divide the dough into small equal balls.

7. Roll each ball into a small circle. Place a tsp of prepared noodle stuffing. Make a paste with flour and water. Apply flour and water paste on the edges and roll it tight. Bring the two ends together and seal it tight as shown in the video.

8. Gently drop the prepared noodle samosas in the hot oil and fry well on both the sides till they are nice and golden in color.

Serve it hot with ketchup on side.
