Biscuits

This quick and easy homemade biscuits that melt in your mouth made with simple ingredients.These are simple, drop-style biscuits that bake up soft and delicate with an almost cake-like texture, but are not sweet. They are ideal to serve with tea or breakfast with soup or dinner.

Ingredients

All purpose flour/Maida – 3 cups
Baking powder – 6 level tsp
Margarine or Butter – 1/2 cup
Milk – 1 cup
Salt – 1/2 tsp

For brushing on top of the biscuits
Sugar – 1 tsp
Vinegar – 1 tsp
Milk – 3 tsp
Mix sugar,vinegar & milk in a bowl. Keep aside.

Method

1. Preheat the oven at 425 degrees. Mix the flour,baking powder,margarine and salt until nice and crumble. Slowly add the milk into the mixture. Mix until the dough is soft, moist and pulls away from the side of the bowl.

2. Roll dough out into a 1/2 inch thick sheet and cut with a floured biscuit or cookie cutter.Place the biscuits on non greased baking sheet.

3.  Brush the sugar,vinegar & milk mixture on top of each biscuits. Bake the biscuits until golden brown, about 12 minutes.

Biscuits are ready to serve with tea. Enjoy!
