Chicken Gravy

This delicious Chicken curry is quick and easy to make for the busy professionals. Goes well with roti, naan or rice.

Ingredients

Boneless chicken cut into pieces – 1/2 kg
One medium size onion
One small tomato
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 1/2 tbs
Ginger & garlic cut into small pieces – each 1tbs
Curry leave – few ( optional )
Oil – 3 tbs

Method

1. Wash the chicken and keep aside.
2. Heat oil in a pan. Add ginger & garlic pcs,onions and curry leaves. Fry in medium heat.Add little salt to the onion so that onion will get Cooked fast.
3. Now add tomatoes,fry until the tomato gets soft and mushy.
4. Add chicken and other spices ( chilli powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder)

        

5. Fry the chicken for 5 min. Add 1 1/2 cup of water,let the gravy boil for another 15 min till the gravy gets thick.

6. Garnish with minced coriander leaves. Anyone can make this gravy. Serve hot with rice ,roti ,idli or dosa.


To make this gravy rich you can add 1/4 cup of coconut milk and garam masala when the gravy is still boiling.
