Tuna Fish Cutlet

Tuna fish cutlet is a delicious Indian food served as a starter.

Preparation time – 15 minutes
Cooking time – 30 minutes
Serves – 4

Ingredients

Canned Tuna Fish – 2 cans ( White tuna chunks in water)  You can use any kind of fresh fish too. Steam the fish fillets (300 g) and remove the fish bones and mash well.

Potato – 1 big

Finely chopped Onions – 1 medium
Finely chopped Green Chilies – 2 or 3
Finely chopped Ginger – 1 tbsp
Finely chopped Garlic – 3 cloves
Chopped coriander- 2 tbs
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
Red Chilly Powder – 1/2 tsp
GaramMasala Powder – 1/2 tsp
Black Pepper Powder – 1/2 tsp
FishMasala Powder – 1 tbsp (Optional )
Salt – to taste
Bread Crumbs – 1/2 cup
Eggs – 2
Oil for frying.

Method

1. Boil the potato and mash it nicely without any chunks.
2. Beat the eggs in a bowl and keep aside.

3. Add all the ingredients (except bread crumbs,eggs and oil) to the mashed potato. Before adding the tuna drain the water from the tuna chunks and mash well. Mix everything well.

4. Make a lemon sized ball and flatten the ball like Vada (Donut) shape. Dip the cutlet into the egg mixture and roll in the bread crumbs. Coat well on both sides with the breadcrumbs. Do this one by one and keep aside.


5. Meanwhile heat oil in a pan for frying. Fry the cutlets in oil until it gets brown and crisp.

6. Tasty and delicious tuna cutlets are ready to serve. Enjoy with mint chutney or ketchup.
